ONE Happy Camper! Oh my goodness how cute and adorable is this birthday theme! I’ve had some really cute ones over the years, but this campsite set up was absolutely adorable.
The ONE Happy Camper set up featured everything you would need while camping of course. A fire, text, wood, trees and big beautiful moon.
What it includes with the smash cake photos! When booking my full 1 hour session, I help you plan the session! If you already have a theme in mind, I do help coordinate everything you would need for the session. You are welcome to bring a customize smash cake or I can arrange a simple nude cake to be used. With the session I like to start with regular formal portraits of the baby by themselves then we move onto the family photos. After a quick outfit change, if needed we move into the smash cake photos. After all of the cake fun is over. The session is complete with super fun complimentary splash photos that are included with your session. You want to go home with a clean baby after all right? How fun does this sound?

Baby Photography in Cleveland | Introducing Nico | Best Baby Photographer
Sweet Baby Nico came into the studio for a visit alongside his parents and big brother. If there’s anything I can handle, that is boys! I have 3 of my own, and believe me nothing surprises me. So moms, don’t worry when you bring your toddle in for pictures with their new little baby brother or sister. I understand 2 hours is a long time for a toddler to sit still. Thats where my job comes in. I make the photoshoot work around the toddler and THEIR mood. Not necessarily the newborns mood.
I had so much with these two boys and look forward to watching them grow over the years.

Maternity Sessions | Northeast Ohio Photographer | Studio
Studio maternity sessions are so fun and cozy when done in indoors. Although, I love taking wintery photos outdoors but sometimes in northeast Ohio it can be just too cold! My studio sessions include 2-3 different setups to help give your gallery a unique and modern look. The setups include backdrops and my lifestyle area in the studio.
The best part of choosing me for your maternity shoot, is full access to my Client Closet! I have a range of maternity dresses available for you to try and choose on. The photo attached below are part of my client closet!
When to book?
I recommend booking maternity sessions early in your second trimester. I want to make sure you get in my calendar and all set for the shoot. The pictures usually take at the end of the beginning or middle of the last trimester. I offer one simple pricing for my maternity session. It’s a 45 min shoot for $450 and that includes all of the images. Usually about 40 images.
I also have a bump to baby and maternity/newborn bundle which offers great pricing with multiple sessions.

I’m so excited to be hosting my motherhood mini event in my new studio! They will be held on 4/20 from 9-12:30pm. They must be pre-booked with the link below or reach out hello@danellejoyphotography.com.
The mommy and me photo session is perfect for mom and her little ones. We need to get mom in the picture, am I right?! Mom is always the one taking the photos of dad and kids. Not this time. It is moms turn to get all dressed up and have all the pictures done.

Baby Sutton is ONE | Willoughby, Ohio | Best Baby Photographer | Smash Cake
It’s always so amazing to me how quickly just 1 year passes by! I first met this cute family for their maternity shoot. It was a cold snowy day where we met at squires castle. They were booked the bump to baby package, which I love, because I spend the entire year with the family!
I meet them at their maternity, newborn and finally at the 1 year first birthday shoot. Sutton was all smiles for her first birthday portraits. Her smash cake was also so very special since it was hand baked by her Grandpa!
How cool is that!
If you are interested in milestone pictures of your little one it’s better to plan ahead and book in advance. I understand many people want the pictures done and printed prior to their birthday party. Most of the time my turn around is 2-3 weeks. However, my calendar does fill up and I want to make sure you get the date you prefer!

There are so many cool brick alley ways near my studio that would make for a perfect background for headshots.

How to get ready for a cake smash | Chagrin Falls, Ohio | Best Baby photographer
Cake smash sessions are always a favorite of mine! They can be so fun, stress free and full of giggles. Especially if you plan early enough. I recommend booking a cake smash a few months ahead of time, in order to plan the session. I’m always happy to coordinate the planned theme. Many times moms know exactly what they want for the first birthday.
Other times I have heard, “I have no clue”… Any ideas?!
Of course I have some great ideas! I also recommend bringing the outfit and cake to the shoot. I can provide most of the decor and balloons for the session.
Be Prepared for Anything!
Those are the basics of how to get ready for a cake smash session beforehand. Once you show up at the studio, the best advice I can give is to be prepared for anything! As long as you are relaxed and ready to have fun that will go a long way to helping your baby do the same as we celebrate their birthday

Lily turns 1! | Cake Smash Portraits | Milestone Photography | Solon, Ohio
We started with formal pictures for Lily’s first birthday. Since many parents like to have the cake smash pictures taken, we always wait until the end.
What do you get with cake smash photos? It’s a full hour session that includes the family and some traditional pictures. The photo are with my backdrop and the lifestyle area of my studio. We end with the customized them for the birthday shoot. I like to work with the family and help them plan for the birthday shoot. Lily was all red and black ladybugs. How cute is that?

Lifestyle Newborn Session | Newborn Photography | Award Winning Photographer
So what is this thing called Lifestyle Photography?
A term that photographers throw around a lot is “lifestyle photography,” but if you’re not a photographer, you might not have any idea what this even means. I’m going to go into detail and explain what entails lifestyle photography.
This time of year can be so cold and bitter. Who wants to venture out of their home especially with a newborn?! No one, right! How nice would it sound if I said you could stay home while I bring everything to you! Amazing right. Why bundle up and venture out. This is exactly why I like to offer Lifestyle Newborn Shoots in the comforts of your own home. What is a Lifestyle Newborn Shoot? I get asked this many times and many people have told me they don’t just want candid photos. That is why I bring all my newborn items with me and you get both candid shots plus all the prop newborn shoots. All in the comforts of your own home. The only requirement I need is a nice window lit 4 ft x 4ft area. Usually a patio slider door works perfectly, and has beautiful light coming through even on the darkest day.
Depending on how the baby is acting I like to start with the wrapped prop and bean bag poses. They look very similar to what you see here in my gallery. After I’m done with the newborn shoots we move on to the lifestyle (candid) shots throughout the home. Places that work the best are living room, nursery and master bedroom.

The cake smash sessions can be used alone for their first birthday or it’s included in my bump to baby package! That’s right with my bump to baby package you’ll receive maternity, newborn and a milestone session that can be used any time during the baby’s first year! The majority like the smash cake birthday!

When you book a full 1 hour first birthday shoot I like to work with the family and customize the shoots! As a given I always provide the balloons, props and outfits. I have many different backgrounds than can be used for either boy or girl! I’ve had so many fun and unique sessions over the years.
WHEN TO BOOK?
My calendar does fill up far in advance and I recommend getting on my schedule at least 2 months in advance. Especially, if you are wanting the images to be done prior to their birthday party. My editing turnaround is usually around 2-3weeks.

Hello & Welcome! As a busy mom, I understand how quickly these little ones grow. I feel like my own 4 children have grown in a blink of an eye. That is my “why” I started my photography journey many years ago. It is so important to capture those moments with your little and big ones! And I want to help you document those precious moments as well.
I’ve owned my photography business for over 6 years and have had the privilege of watching families grow right before my eyes. My expertise has been with Newborns, Children and Family photography. I have always had a love for photography back to the day of developing my own film in a dark room. For the last 12 years, I have dedicated many hours and continued education in order to learn and perfect the art of photography. Photography is more than a passion of mine, its a lifestyle. Prior to photography my educational background includes being a Registered Nurse and I also received my MBA in healthcare. I’m excited to announce my NEW photography studio is located in Downtown Painesville, Ohio. I service the surrounding areas of Cleveland, Ohio for Newborn, Child and Family Photography.
During my sessions, my goal is to create a very relaxed laid back approach that captures the honest smiles and real connections within the family. When to take Maternity Photos | Cleveland, Ohio | Danelle Joy Photography
As you are preparing for your new little one to arrive I’m sure the to do list is never ending. I understand that this time can be the most stressful and exciting time of your life. Also, not to mention you might not be feeling your best. But this doesn’t mean that this special chapter of your life isn’t meant to be celebrated and documented.
A maternity photo session allows you to focus on the new life your body is working so hard to create, instead of the way you look, and can remind you of the excitement and joy that comes with bringing your child into the world.
Your body is changing in so many beautiful ways and this may only happen a couple times in your lifetime. It’s even sweeter when your kids are older and you show all the photos of when they were your in your tummy.
But as time goes on, you’re going to miss that bump! It won’t be at first, but as the months pass and your baby starts to crawl, you’ll look at old photos and think, wow I do miss being pregnant.
The truth is, while pregnancy is hard, there is something very magical with it. You’re growing a new life, and you’re the only one your child is depending on. You feel their every hiccup, every kick, and every headbutt to your ribs. You’re completely connected.
So when is the best time to get maternity photos done? I recommend anytime from week 30 to week 35. I want your bump to be large enough but I also don’t want you to feel to big and uncomfortable. This seems to be the most ideal time. I offer maternity photos in both studio and outside on location. Once the weather breaks there is nothing more beautiful than taking photos on location.

Studio Maternity Session | Cleveland, Ohio | Maternity Session Guide
It seems that maternity photography can often times be overlooked but this is such a beautiful time to capture. I recommend maternity photos to be taken anytime from week 28 to week 35. Your belly needs to be large enough to show off :) But not too far a long that your uncomfortable.
I offer both in studio and on location maternity shoots. Some of my favorite locations within the Cleveland area are Squires castle and chagrin river park. I also can offer indoor maternity shoots at my beautiful studio located in downtown Painesville.
I also offer a discounted package called bump to baby. With this package you’ll receive a maternity, newborn and 1st year photos.

There is nothing better than seeing the family come back for their first birthday portraits. My bump to baby package allows the family to receive maternity, newborn and first birthday.
The first birthday shots can either be a full 1 hour customized shoot or a 30 minute simple shoot. I recommend bringing a smash cake and the splash photos with a clawfoot tub can be added on.

Winter Maternity Shoot | Squires Castle | Cleveland, Ohio | Best Photographer
When is the best time to take Maternity Photos?
I recommend anytime from week 28-36. I want you to have a nice little bump but also not uncomfortable for the shoot.
Where do they take place?
I offer both outdoor and indoor studio shoots for maternity. The outdoor shoots seem to be more popular even during the winter time! I love going to squires castle after a fresh blanket of snow. I also recommend the moms to bring blankets and cover up in between shoots.
What happens during the shoot?
I understand it can be awkward and unsure of how to pose. No worries! I will guide you every step of the way with the posing for the shoot. Please check out some of my most recent sessions here:
How long do they last? I offer both a mini 30 minute and full 1 hour shoot. With the mini session you also receive 15 images. The full 1 hour shoot you’ll receive close to 40 images. All of my pricing includes the session fee and digital images. No extra hidden costs.

January Studio Newborn Photoshoot | Cleveland's Best Photographer | Newborn Portraits
It is always the biggest compliment when I see parents come in for photos with their 2nd and 3rd child. It is such an honor to watch their families grow over the years. This sweet session was the family’s 2nd child and was such a dream at his first newborn shoot.
Meet Baby Grayson!
When should newborn pictures take place? I recommend anytime from day 5 to day 15 of life.
Does it have to be in that time frame? This is a strong recommendation if you would like the pictures to look like the ones you’ve seen on my website. Within that time frame the babies are usually sleepier and easier to wrap for the photos. Once they reach the 1 month age, they have grown and changed so much!
What newborn packages do you offer? I offer both a the full 2 hour shoot which includes family, newborn and sibling pictures. I also offer a petite newborn shoot for 1 hour. These photos are just of the baby alone.
What’s included with the newborn packages? The packages include the shooting time, full access to all high end wraps, bonnets and props. It also includes a minimum of 40 digital images. I usually send anywhere fro 40-50 images. You’ll also receive 20% off my professional printing services.
When should you book a Newborn Session? I recommend researching and booking your photographer during your second trimester. I know it’s early but my calendar does fill up and you can’t wait until the baby is born. It will be hard to find an open photographer.
