Hello & Welcome! As a busy mom, I understand how quickly these little ones grow. I feel like my own 4 children have grown in a blink of an eye. That is my “why” I started my photography journey many years ago. It is so important to capture those moments with your little and big ones! And I want to help you document those precious moments as well.

I’ve owned my photography business for over 6 years and have had the privilege of watching families grow right before my eyes. My expertise has been with Newborns, Children and Family photography. I have always had a love for photography back to the day of developing my own film in a dark room.  For the last 12 years, I have dedicated many hours and continued education in order to learn and perfect the art of photography. Photography is more than a passion of mine, its a lifestyle. Prior to photography my educational background includes being a Registered Nurse and I also received my MBA in healthcare. I’m excited to announce my NEW photography studio is located in Downtown Painesville, Ohio. I service the surrounding areas of Cleveland, Ohio for Newborn, Child and Family Photography.

During my sessions, my goal is to create a very relaxed laid back approach that captures the honest smiles and real connections within the family.  My expertise exists in Newborns, Children, and Families, around the Greater Cleveland area.  I’m an award winner for the best of photography in the city of Painesville for 2018 and 2021. I was also a Finalist (top 3) for Best of Photography for “Best of the East” by Cleveland Magazine 20022. I am now a proud member of the NAPCP and Click & Company. Snowy Maternity Photo Shoot | Cleveland, Ohio | Squires Castle

There is something so beautiful about a maternity shoot taking place at a castle filled with snow. It was a snowy and chilly January but that didn’t stop this sweet couple from venturing out. I love when couples are all about capturing photos outdoors, even if its during the dead of winter. Outdoor shoots in the snow can be very beautify! I am asked many times when is the best time for Maternity photos? A maternity photo session is the perfect way to document the beautiful change your body is undergoing. I recommend photos to be taken anytime from week 32 to week 36 depending on how your feeling. You want a beautiful baby bump for the photos, but also not too large you feel uncomfortable. That’s why I recommend that time frame as the sweet spot for photos.

What takes place during a maternity session?

I offer both a full 1 hour and mini 30 minute maternity session. These photos can be taken outdoors or inside depending on the vibe you want in the photos. Many people choose outdoors all year long. I especially love squires castle for photos.

If you’re deciding on booking both a maternity and newborn shoot you’ll receive 10% off the total cost. If you want all 3 sessions, maternity, newborn and first birthday. I offer a bump to baby package which includes all 3 sessions at a reduced cost.

Sometimes miracles come in two | Cleveland, Ohio | Newborn Photographer

The weather was crisp and cool but it made for the perfect backdrop for maternity photos in October. Squires Castle nestled in Cleveland, Ohio remains one of my top choices for maternity shoots. Especially during the fall and winter. There is just something so mystically, dreamy and beautiful about a castle secluded in the woods.

I also understand how it can be tough to sometimes to photograph little ones, when they are filled with energy. Thats why my style of photography isn’t staged and stiff. If the kids want to run, I run with them! And capture those genuine fun smiles. After all the candid picks, usually end up being my favorite anyway!

Maternity Photography

Maternity Photography | Cleveland, Ohio | Squires Castle | Newborn Photographer

Many new parents realize that they will want pictures of their pregnancy newborn and once their baby turns 1! That’s why I’m so excited to offer my bump to baby package. I have realized that many parents wanted each session and wouldn’t it be nice to have it all planned out for their first year. The maternity session I recommend taking place around week 32-week 36. I want your cute little bump showing but I also don't want to wait to long and your now uncomfortable and not wanting photos take.

For the newborn shoot, I recommend they are taken from day 5 to day 15 of life. Anytime after that I can not always guarantee the baby will sleep and have that little newborn look. Around the 1 month mark the newborns do change so much!

The milestone session can be your choice to be taken anytime within the first year of life. Most people like to do it for their 1st birthday. And don’t blink, because before you know you it you’ll be planning that first birthday ;)

Maternity Photography | Squires Castle | Willoughby Hills Ohio | Danelle Joy Photography

It was a brisk but beautiful day for maternity photos that took place in early march. This sweet couple traveled all the way up to Ohio from Georgia to visit family. I was so honored they chose me for their maternity shoot while back in town. This also took place right before the country was bracing itself for covid 19. I was so happy we could finish the session and they traveled safely back to home prior to the country staying safe at home.

Cleveland, Ohio Family Photographer | Squires Castle | Fall Photography

We couldn’t have asked for a better day to have this beautiful family’s fall session at Squires Castle located outside of Cleveland, Ohio. The weather was warm, the light was soft and we were able to shoot inside and outside of the castle. This place serves as the perfect backdrop for family photography sessions. Its nestled in the thick woods of the Cleveland Metroparks. It not only has a beautiful Castle that is rich in history but many walking and bridle trials in the woods. Squires Castle is located in the North Chagrin Reservation of the Cleveland Metroparks in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. It was built in the 1890s by Feargus B. Squire for use as the gatekeeper's house for his future country estate, which was never built. Squire, an executive with the Standard Oil Company, bought the surrounding 525 acres (212 ha) of land but never completed the project. Squire sold the property in 1922 and the Cleveland Metroparks acquired it in 1925.

There is nothing more beautiful than a young couple in love. I felt so honored to photograph this lovely couple on a  warm summer night. This fun Engagement Photography Session took place at Squires Castle in Willoughby Hills, OH. This castle is nestled in the Cleveland Metroparks and served as a romantic backdrop.
