There’s something so magical about photographing maternity sessions — that beautiful mix of excitement, love, and anticipation as a family prepares to welcome their newest little one. This gorgeous sunset maternity session at Orchard Hills Park in Chesterland, Ohio, was one of those evenings that felt absolutely perfect from start to finish.

Orchard Hills is one of my favorite spots for maternity photos. The open fields, soft golden light, and peaceful trails create the most stunning natural backdrop. It’s quiet, romantic, and full of beautiful scenery that changes with every season — the perfect place to capture the glow of motherhood.

We met just before sunset, when the park was bathed in that dreamy, golden light that every photographer loves. The soon-to-be mama looked radiant in a flowing neutral gown that moved beautifully in the breeze. She and her husband shared the sweetest smiles and laughter as we explored the meadow together.

As the sun dipped behind the trees, we captured those soft, glowing portraits that make sunset sessions so special — light wrapping around them, fields glowing in the background, and pure joy on their faces. It was one of those evenings where everything aligned perfectly: warm light, gentle wind, and a couple so in love and excited for the journey ahead.

Maternity sessions like this are some of my absolute favorites. It’s such an honor to freeze this beautiful chapter before a family’s world changes forever. These photos will be something they can look back on for years — a reminder of the love, anticipation, and wonder that comes with waiting for baby.
